Membership, what’s it all about?

Are you considering membership of YWCA Ireland and wondering what it’s all about? This post highlights why we need you to get involved and just some of the benefits that being a member of our association brings. So if you are thinking about adding your voice to ours and endorsing the work we do both locally in the community and on a national level, read on!

 What does membership mean?

  • By being a member of YWCA Ireland you are supporting our vision to empower women in Ireland to be engaged, connected and transformed through Christ
  • When you join the YWCA, you join a worldwide movement uniting 25 million women in more than 120 countries
  • Saying ‘I’m a member of the YWCA’ means that you support the advancement of women, children and families in Ireland. Our strong membership base means that we can effectively lobby and advocate for change to improve women’s lives across the island of Ireland
  • As a voting member you can directly impact our services, our direction and our voice, through our governance.

Members of YWCA Ireland receive great benefits and opportunities including:

  • Opportunities for networking, sharing and learning in Ireland, across Europe and around the world where you can meet others with shared aims and forge long lasting friendships
  • Voting rights at our Annual General Meetings
