Part – Time General Support Worker (Greystones)

Are you personable?  Do you have experience in customer service or in a Christian organisation?   Would you enjoy hospitality and looking after guests’ needs?

An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a live-in General Support Worker at the Young Women’s Christian Association conference and retreat centre in Greystones.  The role is a varied and challenging one and follows the recent development of facilities here in Greystones.  Providing a memorable guest experience is essential to the ministry at Coolnagreina and your guest-facing role will be a key part of that.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the ethos of the Association
  • Providing relief cover and on-call duty – you will learn many aspects of all roles in order to ensure that the centre remains operational
  • Reception duties – welcoming guests and taking bookings
  • Housekeeping duties

We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, friendly and able to engage well with guests and staff alike.  The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and, whilst the days and hours are flexible,  regular weekend work is required as well as some early mornings and late evenings.  There are also certain weeks in the summer when the jobholder will be required to be present.  The gross salary is €9,000 (based on 15 hours) and accommodation (a private single bedroom with shared kitchenette facilities) will be provided.
