2015 In Review

As we reflect on the progress and achievements made in 2015 we give thanks to God for His provision and guidance. We are pleased to share with you just some of the highlights of the last 12 months!

January – We repaint our board room, front door and reception area to match our branding!

February – Our General Secretary visits Drumsallan Mother’s Union to share about the work of our Association.

March – We co-facilitate a training for Innovista Ireland on organisational change.

April – We welcome new members to our Association. Read more about membership here

May – AGM time! We welcome Caroline Alves as our newest board member.

June – We host a coffee morning and cake sale for Tearfund Ireland’s Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund. Thanks to all of you who came along and supported this!

July – Our End Violence Against Women steering group meets for the first time.

We secure funding for a young women’s peace and justice project in partnership with YWCA Great Britain and YWCA Palestine.

Sarah Caughey is appointed as our new National President.

August – Our accommodation centres are busy with summer visitors and family camps.

September – YWCA/YMCA Denmark pay a visit to our local centres.

We welcome YWCA Central Club to our national office for afternoon tea!

October – We attend the World YWCA World Council in Bangkok, Thailand.  We deliver a workshop on Membership Growth and present a gift to the Princess of Thailand.

November – We participate in the World YMCA/YWCA Week of Prayer.

Lauren Shaw is appointed as our National Vice President.

December – We start planning for the European YWCA Council taking place in Glenada in October 2016!
