2014 In Review

As we reflect on the progress and achievements made in 2014 we give thanks to God for His provision and guidance. We are pleased to share with you just some of the highlights of the last 12 months!

January – YWCA Ireland welcomes the European Youth Forum Membership Growth Project to our accommodation centre in Greystones, Co. Wicklow. 4 International organisations with participants representing 8 countries!

February – Our Centre Managers travel to Dublin for the first ever meeting of our Centre Managers/Chairs Network. Our brand new coffee maker is tried and tested! #MovementBuilding #GoodCoffee

March – YWCA Monaghan host a pop up coffee shop on St. Patrick’s Day and a colouring competition for local primary schools.

April – We welcome Audrey Wilson, our new General Secretary to the National Office!

May – AGM time! We welcome Michelle Foster as our new National President.

June – Our very first blog post! Check it out here

July –  Staff and volunteers participate in a Social Media Masterclass

August – Our accommodation centres are busy with summer visitors and family camps

September – Heather Wilson joins the National Board

YWCA Ireland become official partners of the Turn Off The Red Light Campaign

October – We attend the European YWCA’s Representatives Meeting in Stuttgart, Germany. Our resolution on the Istanbul Convention is adopted by YWCA’s across Europe.

November – Our General Secretary represents us at the United Nations NGO Forum on Beijing 20+. Find out more here
