Apply Now for YWCA Baggot Street RA Programme!

The YWCA Dublin Resident Assistant (RA) programme provides an exciting opportunity for 4 women to enhance their work experience, hone their leadership skills and live in a dynamic and intercultural environment in our student residence in Dublin city centre from September 2017 – June 2018. During this time RAs are provided with free accommodation (shared room with another RA), breakfast and an evening meal. They support the residence staff team in the daily running of the student residence and provide an important link between students and YWCA management. The responsibilities of the role are generally focused around evenings and weekends and shared among the RA team.
The primary role of an RA is to build a safe, inclusive, friendly and welcoming environment for our guests, assisting them in practical ways and offering peer support. RAs are assigned ‘point of contact’ duties in the student residence some evenings and weekends. In addition, Resident Assistants will have the opportunity to contribute to and participate in YWCA Ireland’s national programmes and activities which are focused around themes such as gender equality, faith, human rights and women’s leadership.

Closing date: 5th July 2017

What have previous RAs said?
“Volunteering as an RA has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It has taught me so much about myself and shown me my potential as a leader as well as working as part of a team. I have got to meet so many people from all over the world and from different walks of life which has given me a greater perspective of the world. It has been an incredible experience and one I would recommend to everyone.”
